Safari Accommodation Options

Tented camps are made up of large, walk in, canvas tents set up on permanent frames. These camps are generally smaller than lodges and have the amenities similar to that of a lodge or hotel such as separate en-suite bathrooms, restaurants and swimming pools. The tented camps aim to provide all the comforts of a lodge while giving guests a smaller, intimate, tented yet luxurious safari experience. Same it ranges from three-star levels to ultimate five-star luxury.

Safari lodges are a different experience from a tented camp. On the whole (although there are many exceptions) safari lodges are larger than tented camps, and often offer more amenities such as swimming pools, shops and perhaps a choice of restaurants, just like a large hotel. Lodges range in luxury from 3 or 4-star to 5-star deluxe.

Mobile camps are small, intimate setups that move with the migratory herds. Built in the open bush with no barriers, they offer a safe yet immersive wilderness experience. Fully serviced with staff, these camps provide luxury in the wild, with meals prepared by a chef, heated water for bathing, and generator power.

Budget camping is a unique form of tented accommodation, offering a more authentic experience. You'll stay in public campsites with basic washrooms, sleeping in bivouac tents on mattresses or in sleeping bags. Although simple, it brings you closer to nature than any other option.
